USER AUTHENTICATION
Input methods for ease of user authentication.

Passcode
Customer who do not generally prefer physical identification or whom prefer to have an alternative method of user authentication may opt for passcodes that their users can easily setup for themselves.

Barcode
Highly reliable, inexpensive, and easy to source. Barcodes are still widely used as preferred as a method for user authentication. Customer can opt for both 1D and 2D barcodes as desired.

RFID
Known as a contactless smart card, RFID / NFC are the easiest method for user authentication. As it does not require line-of-sight scanning, RFID is the more preferred method for its speed and ease of use.
RETURN TECHNOLOGY

The most traditional method for library services. The barcode technology is simple, easy to use, and straight forward. Now, newer barcode technology will support both 1D and 2D on mobile devices.

EM

RFID
Radio frequency identification is the current preferred technology, as it is used for both identification and security. Available in high-frequency (HF) and ultra high-frequency (UHF) for a differing detection range.

Hybrid
It is never compulsory to deploy any one technology exclusively. Customers may opt to use two or more technology together as necessary based on their service nature and requirements.
